Absolutely in love how interactive every aspect of this novel is!!

The presentation is really good and very creative as well. As others also mentioned, the voice acting (and the whole sound edition as well) is just excellent.

A wonderfully atmospheric experience. Despite the clear Analogue/Hate Plus inspiration, it still manages to put its own spin on the formula, with the story being delivered in a much more linear fashion, but still leaving enough for you to sit on and ponder about it.

The visuals are simple, yet effective. The soundtrack? Fits so well that you'll only notice how much of a difference it made when the game goes silent on you.

Hell, it's even got voice acting, and when the game asks you to sit there and listen to the rants and rambles of very damaged girls and all you can do is let your mind race as you try to fit the puzzle pieces together in your head, that's how you know you're playing one good-ass game.

It's fun, it's engaging, it's fascinating. Best experienced fully blind if you can, and even better if you have a way to take notes while playing.

i think i was too dense to understand totally what was going on here, but it was interesting nonetheless and i know there is a vision in there i'm missing. i need someone to explain what happened to me like i am five years old unfortunately

i would recommend downloading the 0.9.3 version if you have any semblance of issues reading the text entries from the beginning, since i unfortunately had to install it trying to get the alternate(?) ending following a different choice than i did the first time (awkward description to try to avoid spoilers), as i was unable to read anything no matter how many times i rebooted. thankfully the 0.9.3 did work but i had to reset it and replay again. i probably should have installed the 0.9.3 version as soon as i got the predicting messages, but since i was able to work around it i honestly thought it might be intentional until i got trapped.

i'm also a bit unsure if certain entries were displaying correctly (one in particular), but again, i can't tell if this was just me being dense or a bug.

still, this was a short and interesting little visual novel and if you're interested in the idea it's worth checking it out. the user interface and overall aesthetic is really solid. i love epistolary stuff so i just wish i was able to piece it together better!

Phenomenal.

Incredibly engaging piecing together what did and didn't happen from the little fragments and glimpses we're voyeuristically given. Draws you in, down a hypnotizing spiral, and you can feel exactly how the characters involved ended up how they did. What happened in the end is a matter of evidence - what it meant is a matter of perspective. I'm gonna be thinking about it for a long while, I'm sure.

Really just wonderful and clearly made from a labor of love, this game is awesome and it FUCKS HARD. I love it so much and I think one million people should play it. cocks gun and there will be consequences for the people who don't play this game.

What an incredible work of art. The vibes are reminiscent of games like Her Story or Hypnospace Outlaw, but the overarching world building of the sci-fi setting makes it stand apart as it's own titan of exploratory terminal games. Every element of the game, from the stunning music to the voice acting flows together to create a story that left me completely immersed.

A game this special doesn't come around very often, if anyone is reading the comments debating whether they should play it, here's your sign.

This game will live in my head rent free.

this is so creative! it reminds me of games like hypnospace outlaw or who's lila (both of which i LOVE), where you can kind of snoop around in web pages/files and see how to progress further. i was really intrigued by the small bits of world-building, and also i thought the voice logs were a really cool addition! it's really remarkable how fast this was put together :) good job~

If you told me there was a massive team with an unlimited time behind the creation of this game, I would believe you. This is undoubtedly a beautiful, polished, thrilling, and ingenious game. How this ambitious of a project was pulled off with flying colours for a fast-paced jam is astonishing. I am beyond impressed.

The story was captivating, only amplified tenfold by physically being captivated by interactivity and needing my physical input to continue. There are certain scenes that I was just blown away with the presentation.

Play this game and tell Rue I love her.

A beautiful piece of art, through and through. Such strength of vision, and it strikes so many chords I never expected a file browser to be able to strike. Its sound, its music, and its interface are both powerful in their own right. And it is deeply intimate, toxic yuri inside and out. God bless.

incen(diary) has politely reminded me of the joy of making and sharing art. You simply must play it.

What a wonderful game! I really adore games where you root through diegetic computer systems to learn more information (ex: Uplink, Hypnospace Outlaw, most imsims, etc), and this is an amazing example of how that can be done in the RenPy engine. In particular I found the use of the main menu and persistent variables to save progress to be really clever design decisions.

The way the story unfolds is also really rewarding, I appreciate the use of different types of media to help paint the whole picture.

Very thrilling all the way through. I'm a sucker for the mechanics of going through archives to progress—it makes every new item alluring and necessitates close reading, on top of the story's natural allure and intrigue! And impressive on a technical level to implement too!

Voicing is also a welcome surprise, it and the music and sound is used to great effect building the atmosphere.

This game had me hooked from start to finish, getting to slowly piece together the bigger picture through text/audio logs and pictures was really immersive, the voice acting surprised me it's SO GOOD. There's also so many layers to the dynamics between the characters!!

First of all, Rue is really cute.

Anyways, I love self-guided stories like this: searching through metadata and codecies and whatnot to reveal a bigger picture is quite a novel approach, and when done with care as seen here, it's captivating. In this game, the concept is taken further with both the player character and 'guide' themselves being part of the narrative. The puzzle box structure was immersive and it was fun to unravel (or, at times, become wrapped up in) the mysteries at the heart of the story.

Sound design, voice acting, and music are also worth shouting out. The terminal sfx made for a tactile experience, and the voice acting (so ambitious for a jam game!) was clearly tricked out with skill and precision.

If you liked 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, you'll find much to love here.
